Painter

You mask and protect the flat, fill and sand walls and ceilings, prime and apply two coats by roller and brush, and hang wallpaper where the specification calls for it. You mix colours to the given code, keep a wet edge on large surfaces and clean the equipment at the end of the day. Because the flats are occupied you agree the day's access with the tenant. Working hours are 07:00 to 16:00 and you report to the works supervisor.

Painting trade certificate or at least three years of professional painting

Experience of filling, sanding and finishing to a clean edge

Able to mix a colour to a code and match an existing surface

Confident with wallpaper, including pattern matching

Tidy and considerate work in occupied flats

Basic English for product data sheets, Swedish taught at work

ID06 card and safety induction, both arranged by the employer

Net salary from 2403 up to 2643 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the painters collective agreement

Travel time between jobs paid inside working hours

Work clothing, respirator, safety shoes and gloves provided

Painters who take the spray and floor coating training move to the industrial jobs the firm takes on in winter, which are priced higher under the same agreement.

Occupied flats and stairwells, so the work is indoors and dusty during sanding, with ladders and low scaffolds. Respirator, eye protection, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
