Concrete Worker

You set and strip system formwork for walls and columns, fix reinforcement to the bending schedule, tie spacers and set out from the given gridlines. During a pour you place and vibrate the concrete, control the level with a laser and cover and cure the surface afterwards. You check the formwork alignment before every pour and sign the casting record. Working hours are 06:45 to 16:00 and you report to the site foreman.

Vocational concrete or construction training, or at least three years on site

Experience of system formwork and reinforcement fixing

Able to read a reinforcement drawing and a bending schedule

Confident with a vibrator poker, a rotary laser and a rebar tier

Able to work at height with harness and fall protection

Basic English for toolbox talks, Swedish taught on site

ID06 card and safety induction, both arranged by the employer

Net salary from 2454 up to 2699 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the Byggavtalet collective agreement

Travel time between sites paid inside working hours

Heated site hut with drying room, canteen and showers

Work clothing, helmet, safety boots and winter kit provided

Concrete workers who take the lifting supervisor and signaller course direct crane lifts on their own section, and the contractor promotes its lagbas from the frame teams.

An open site in coastal weather with wind off the sound, working on slabs, scaffolds and formwork decks. Helmet, safety boots, gloves, eye protection and a harness on open edges are mandatory and supplied.
