Construction Carpenter

You set and strip wall and slab formwork, fix reinforcement spacers, and later build stud walls, fit plasterboard, hang doors and fit skirting. You work from the construction drawing and the site plan, measure with a laser and a spirit level, and set out from the given gridlines. Daily work runs 06:45 to 16:00 with a paid safety talk on Monday mornings. You report to the site foreman and you follow the site specific safety plan.

Vocational carpentry training or at least three years on site

Experience of both formwork and interior fitting

Reading a construction drawing and setting out from gridlines

Confident with a circular saw, a nail gun and a rotary laser

Able to work at height with harness and fall protection

Basic English for toolbox talks, Swedish taught on site

ID06 card and a valid safety induction, both arranged by the employer

Net salary from 2562 up to 2818 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the Byggavtalet collective agreement

Travel time between sites paid inside working hours

Heated site hut with drying room, canteen and showers

Carpenters who show they can set out and plan their own work take the lagbas role on a section of the site, and the contractor pays for the supervisor course that goes with it.

Open construction sites in all weather, partly in unheated shell buildings and partly indoors once the roof is on. Helmet, safety boots, gloves and eye protection are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
