Furniture Carpenter (Factory)
Wood & Furniture Production — Yecla (Murcia), Spain
P-329 · Functional (B1) · 4 openings
Yecla builds furniture for half of Europe, and a production plant here needs another skilled hand on the bench. If you can read a cutting list and trust your own measurements, this is steady work with room to move up.
About role
You will work a factory line that turns solid wood and board into wardrobes, kitchen units and dining tables. A typical day means cutting on the panel saw and edge bander, routing and drilling on a CNC where needed, and assembling carcasses by hand before they go to finishing. You read technical drawings, set up your own machine, and check each piece against the spec before it moves on. Shifts run Monday to Friday, usually a fixed morning turn from 6:00 to 14:00, with the occasional afternoon turn during busy season. You sand, fit hinges and runners, and flag any defect in the timber rather than letting it pass. Pace is real but the work is methodical, not rushed off your feet.

You start at 1550 EUR net per month and move to 1800 EUR net as you take on machine setup and quality sign-off without supervision. Carpenters who show they can run a section on their own are first in line for team lead spots. Progression is reviewed twice a year, not left to chance.
Work environment
The plant is a modern wood production unit on an industrial estate just outside Yecla, with dust extraction at every station and proper hearing protection provided. It gets warm in summer and the floor is noisy near the saws, so you wear ear defenders and steel toes. The crew is mostly long-serving carpenters who know the machines inside out.
