Furniture Carpentry Foreman

You run a bench of six carpenters: you split the daily order into jobs, hand out the cutting list, and check the first assembled unit against the drawing before the batch continues. Daily work covers setting the edgebander and the boring machine, measuring diagonals and gaps with a rule and a feeler gauge, releasing hardware from the store, and signing off the finished pieces for the finishing line. You report to the production manager at the end of each shift with the count and the rework list.

Trade qualification in carpentry or wood technology

At least five years at a furniture bench, two of them leading a team

Reading furniture drawings and cutting lists

Setting an edgebander, a boring machine and a panel saw

Comfortable planning a day of work for six people

Functional English for the drawings and the hardware suppliers

Spanish good enough to run the daily briefing

Net salary from 1482 up to 1630 EUR per month

Permanent contract with a two month trial

Responsibility supplement for running the bench, inside the monthly figure

Fourteen instalments a year, the two extra ones prorated into the monthly net

One day shift, Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:30 and Friday until 14:00

Canteen in the plant and coffee at the employer's cost

The employer pays the forklift licence and the first aid course

The plant fills its planning posts from the benches, so a foreman who learns the cutting optimisation software schedules production within two years, with the course paid by the employer.

A dry, heated hall with dust extraction at every machine, marked routes for the pallet trucks and a glazed office at the end of the bench. Ear protection, dust mask, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied.
