Cleaner / Housekeeping Operative
Cleaning Services — Cascais, Portugal
P-315 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
A cleaning services company near Cascais needs steady hands for daily housekeeping work in hotels and holiday apartments along the coast. Regular hours, real overtime, and a clear way to earn more once you know the routine.
About role
You clean guest rooms and bathrooms, change bed linen, restock towels and toiletries, and wipe down surfaces to a checklist. Most shifts run from early morning to mid-afternoon, with a faster pace on Friday and Saturday changeovers when whole floors turn over at once. You will also handle common areas, lobbies, and corridors, running a vacuum and a mop and emptying bins. Some days you cover holiday apartments, which means deeper cleans between guests, including the kitchen and the balcony. You log each room as you finish it and flag anything broken to the supervisor. Carts, vacuums, and the chemicals are all provided, and you are trained on how to use them safely before your first solo shift.

Promotion terms
You start at 900 euros net a month. Once you hold a steady pace and pass room checks on your own, you move up to 1040 euros net, usually within the first six to nine months. After that, the people who train newcomers or take a floor-supervisor role earn more again.
Work environment
You work across hotels and holiday flats a short drive from the centre of Cascais, mostly indoors but on your feet all day. It can get warm in summer and busy during peak weeks, so the team works in pairs on the heavy floors. Supervisors are on site and gloves and proper footwear are part of the kit.
