CNC Machine Operator

You run CNC milling and turning centres, mostly Siemens and Heidenhain controls, on metal parts for the automotive supply chain. Each shift you set up the machine, load the program, clamp the workpiece and check the first piece against the drawing before the batch runs. You change worn tools, top up coolant, clear chips and watch for any drift in tolerance. Quality checks happen with callipers, micrometers and gauges, and you log what you measure. The site runs two shifts, early 06:00 to 14:00 and late 14:00 to 22:00, with a night shift on busier weeks. When something stops, you find the fault or call the setter, and you keep your station tidy through the shift.

At least 2 years on CNC milling or turning machines

Can read technical drawings and understand tolerances

Know Siemens or Heidenhain controls, basic program edits welcome

Confident with callipers, micrometers and gauges

German or English at B1, enough to follow shift handover

Willing to work in a two or three shift rotation

You start at 2300 net per month and move up as you take on harder setups and run the machine without a setter at your side. Once you are setting jobs on your own and holding tight tolerances, pay rises to 2650 net. Most operators reach the top of that range inside the first year.

The plant is a clean machining hall with assigned stations, good lighting and extraction at the cutting zones. It can get loud near the centres, so ear protection, safety shoes and glasses are worn on the floor. Shifts run in a steady rotation and the canteen serves a hot meal each day.
