An automotive supplier in the Zuffenhausen supplier park in north Stuttgart is taking on line operators for its assembly cells. The plant assembles cable sets and small modules for vehicle makers in the region. Permanent contract with two shifts.
About role
You work a station in the cell to a fixed cycle time: take the parts from the bin, assemble them in the order the work sheet shows, press or clip the connection and place the finished unit in the carrier. You test each unit on the station tester, mark a failure with the red tag and put it in the rework box. You count the empty bins, call the material handler before the station runs dry and note downtime on the terminal. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.
Who's a fit?
Completed schooling, training in the cell is provided
Good fine motor skills and a steady hand for small parts
Able to keep a cycle time of about 60 seconds through the shift
Willing to follow a work sheet exactly and to flag a deviation
Willing to rotate two shifts week by week
Basic English or German for the work sheet and the terminal

Net salary from 1950 up to 2145 EUR per month

Promotion terms
Operators who hold the cycle time and the quality figure are trained on every station in the cell and then on the quality gate, which is paid a grade higher.
Work environment
A clean, bright assembly hall at about 21 degrees with height adjustable benches, antistatic mats and a rest area at every cell. Safety shoes and antistatic gloves are mandatory and supplied.
