Carpenter / Joiner
Wood & Furniture Production — Cologne, Germany
P-297 · Functional (B1) · 3 openings
A wood and furniture production company near Cologne needs a skilled carpenter who can read a cutting list and trust their own measurements. Steady work, real machines, and a foreman who actually shows you the ropes.
About role
You build cabinets, doors, shelving and custom furniture parts from solid wood, MDF and laminated panels. A normal day means cutting on the panel saw and sliding table saw, edge-banding, routing, drilling for hinges and dowels, then dry-fitting and gluing up. You read technical drawings and cutting lists, set up the machines yourself, and check every piece with a tape and square before it moves on. Sanding, fitting hardware and a clean assembly at the bench round out the shift. The work runs in one day shift, roughly 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday morning when an order is tight. You take care of your tools and keep your station tidy, because the next job depends on it.

Promotion terms
You start at 2300 EUR net per month. Once you know the machines and run jobs without rework, pay moves up toward 2650 EUR net. From there the next step is leading a small bench team or taking on the setup of the more complex orders.
Work environment
The workshop is a covered production hall with proper dust extraction and noise protection at every machine. It gets loud and dusty, and you are on your feet most of the shift, lifting panels and boards. The crew is mixed and the foreman is on the floor, not in an office.
