Furniture Carpenter

You cut panels on the beam saw to the cutting list, edge them on the edgebander and drill the connector holes on the CNC drill. You assemble the carcass, fit hinges, drawer runners and handles and check the diagonal and the gap before the unit is wrapped. Solid wood parts are planed, sanded and finished with oil or lacquer. You mark each unit for the site fitters and note the hours on the job card. The day runs 06:30-15:30 from Monday to Friday.

Trade qualification as a carpenter or joiner, or equal practice

At least three years in furniture or shopfitting production

Confident with the beam saw, the edgebander and hand routers

Able to read a cutting list and a furniture drawing

Accurate to one millimetre on carcass and gap dimensions

Basic German or English for the job card and the drawing

Net salary from 2180 up to 2398 EUR per month

Permanent contract with full social insurance and a day shift only

Christmas and holiday payments under the joinery agreement

Paid courses on CNC nesting and on surface finishing

Work clothing, ear protection, dust mask and safety shoes provided

Carpenters who work to the millimetre move to the fitting team, which installs the finished units on site, or to programming the CNC nesting machine.

A workshop with extraction at every machine, a separate spray booth, a wood dust level held below the limit and a noise level around 82 decibels. Ear protection, dust mask and safety shoes are supplied.
