Warehouse Operative
Trade & Transport — Duisburg, Germany
P-293 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
A logistics site near Duisburg port needs warehouse hands who turn up and get stuck in. No German or warehouse history required, just steady work and a willingness to learn the floor.
About role
You spend the shift moving goods through a distribution hall: scanning parcels, picking orders from racking, and loading or stripping pallets at the dock doors. Most lifting is done with hand pallet trucks, and you stack onto shelving or feed items onto the conveyor line. Shifts run on a two-week rotation between early (06:00 to 14:30) and late (14:00 to 22:30), Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in peak weeks. You will count stock, check labels against the paperwork, and flag anything damaged before it ships. The pace climbs near cut-off times when the trucks are waiting, so you keep your aisle tidy as you go. After a few weeks the supervisor will train you on the powered pallet truck if you want it.

Work environment
The hall is heated in the cold months but stays cool near the dock doors, so bring a warm layer in winter. Steel-toe boots and a hi-vis vest are provided and worn at all times. The team is mixed across several countries, so you will hear more than one language on the floor.
