Furniture Carpenter
Wood & Furniture Production — Troyan, Bulgaria
P-290 · Functional (B1) · 3 openings
A wood and furniture workshop near Troyan needs a carpenter who knows how solid wood behaves. You read a cutting list, set up the machine, and the piece comes out square the first time.
About role
Most of the day you work oak, beech and ash, both solid stock and veneered panels. You cut to size on the panel saw and format saw, run parts through the planer and thicknesser, then shape edges on the spindle moulder and router. A good part of the work is joinery: mortise and tenon, dowels, dominoes and the odd dovetail for drawer boxes. You dry-fit a carcass, check it for square and wind, then glue up and clamp. Sanding, hinge fitting and a final once-over before the piece goes to finishing are also on you.
