Crop Farm Worker
Agriculture — Pazardzhik, Bulgaria
P-289 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
An agriculture company near Pazardzhik needs steady hands for its field crops this season. The work is outdoors, the pay starts above the local average, and there is room to move up within a year.
About role
You will work the open fields and polytunnels where the employer grows tomatoes, peppers and leafy crops. Days start early, usually around six in the morning, to beat the midday heat, with a long break in the hottest hours. Your hands-on tasks cover planting seedlings, weeding by hoe, staking and tying plants, and picking the harvest into crates. During the busy weeks you also help load the crates onto trailers and run the drip irrigation lines. Some workers learn to drive the small tractor and operate the rotary tiller once they know the rows. Shifts run six days a week through the picking season, with Sundays off.
