Warehouse Operative

You will pick orders against a paper list or a handheld scanner, then pack them onto pallets for the loading bays. Boxes run from a couple of kilos up to around 20, so there is real lifting through the shift. You move stock with a hand pallet truck, and if you hold a licence you may run the electric pallet jack as well. Goods come in by truck most mornings, so part of the day is unloading and putting away on the racking. The site works two rotating shifts, roughly 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00, one week each. You also help keep the aisles clear and report any damaged stock to the shift lead.

Able to lift and carry boxes up to about 20 kg through a full shift

Comfortable on your feet for eight hours

Can read order numbers and follow a picking list

Willing to rotate between morning and afternoon shifts

Basic English or Greek to follow instructions

Pallet truck or forklift licence is a plus, not required

You start at 1040 euro net a month. Once you know the layout and can pick on your own without checks, pay moves up toward 1200 euro net, usually inside the first year. Reliable people often go on to team lead or forklift roles when a spot opens.

It is a large covered warehouse on an industrial estate, with high racking and wide aisles for the trucks. The floor is heated in winter but it gets warm near the bays in summer. Safety boots, gloves and a hi-vis vest are provided and you are expected to wear them.
