Assembly Line Operator
Production & Manufacturing — Modena, Italy
P-245 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
A production company on the outskirts of Modena needs extra hands on its assembly lines and is taking people with no prior factory background. You learn the line in your first week and earn a clear raise once you can keep pace on your own.
About role
You stand at a fixed station along the line and assemble parts as they come to you, fitting components, tightening fasteners and clipping pieces into place by hand or with a powered screwdriver. The work runs on a steady takt time, so you repeat the same set of movements through your shift and pass each unit on to the next station. You feed the line from bins, check that what you have built sits right and pull anything that looks wrong before it moves on. Sites here usually run two shifts, mornings 6 to 14 and afternoons 14 to 22, rotating week by week, with a paid break in the middle. Some lines handle car parts and small mechanical assemblies, others pack and label finished goods, and the team lead tells you which station you are on at the start of each shift. You log what you complete on a tablet or paper sheet so the line keeps moving and supply knows when to restock.

Able to stand and work an eight hour shift
Willing to rotate between morning and afternoon weeks
Basic English or Italian, enough to follow the team lead
Reliable timekeeping, the line starts on the clock
Benefits
Relocation help and your first month of shared accommodation arranged
Shuttle from the housing to the plant for early shifts

Promotion terms
You start at the base rate while you learn the station, and pay goes up once you hit the line speed on your own, usually within two to three months. From there you can move toward line setter or quality checker, which pays more again. Pay reviews happen on a set schedule, not on a maybe.
Work environment
The plant is a clean, well lit indoor hall, warm in winter and ventilated in summer, with the line set at standing height. It gets loud near the machines, so ear protection, gloves and safety shoes are provided and worn on the floor. The pace is set by the line, but breaks are fixed and the team lead is on the floor with you.
