Care Assistant

You support residents with washing, dressing, eating and moving, always under the instruction of the qualified nurse on duty. You make beds, prepare and hand out drinks, take residents to the dining room and accompany them on short walks. You note what you observed about appetite, skin and mood in the documentation system at the end of each round. Two shifts are worked, 06:15-14:15 and 13:45-21:45, with every second weekend free and a night shift only by agreement.

Completed schooling, a care assistant course is an advantage

Patience and a calm manner with people who have dementia

Able to support a resident when transferring from bed to chair

German at B1 level for handover and for talking to residents

Net salary from 2020 up to 2222 EUR per month

The house pays for the one year training to become a state recognised nursing assistant and releases staff for the school days, which opens the three year qualification afterwards.

Living groups of 24 places with single rooms, care beds with electric adjustment, ceiling hoists in the bathrooms and a disinfection point on every corridor. Gloves, aprons and work shoes are supplied.
