Construction Labourer

You carry and sort formwork panels, props and reinforcement, keep the crane loads tidy and clean the panels after striking. During a concrete pour you guide the hose, work the poker vibrator where the foreman points and level the surface. You mix mortar for the masons, keep the scaffold decks clear and take the site waste to the skips. The day runs 07:00-16:00 with half an hour for lunch. Work is outdoors in every season and stops only in frost or high wind.

Completed schooling, no trade qualification needed

Physically fit for lifting and for a full day on your feet

Some site experience in formwork, concrete or masonry is an advantage

Head for heights for work on a scaffold deck

Willing to work outdoors in cold and wet weather

Basic German or English for safety briefings on site

Net salary from 1950 up to 2145 EUR per month

Fixed term contract for the shell phase with full social insurance

Company van from the depot in Weissensee to the site

Paid instruction on the vibrator, the mixer and the lifting gear

A labourer who works steadily with the masons is put through the scaffold user course and can be taken on as a mason's assistant in the following season.

An open shell site with a tower crane, scaffolded facades and a daily toolbox briefing. Helmet, safety boots, gloves and a harness on the edge zones are mandatory and issued by the employer.
