Production Operator

You take finished parts off the conveyor, cut the sprue, check the part against the boundary sample for flash, sink marks and short shots, and pack it into the customer carton. You keep the machine fed with granulate, log the counts on the line terminal at the end of every hour and call the setter when a tool starts to drift. Cleaning the work station and handing over to the next shift are part of the shift. Shifts run 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00 on a weekly rotation.

An operator who learns the tool change and the drying plant can apply for the setter role, which covers four machines and is paid a grade higher under the plant agreement.

A clean, warm hall with twelve moulding machines, extraction above each nozzle and a noise level around 78 decibels. Safety shoes, ear protection and cut resistant gloves are mandatory and supplied.
