Machine Operator
Production & Manufacturing · Athens, Greece
JB-838 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
A printing and converting plant at Kryoneri, north of Athens, is hiring operators for its cutting, folding and stitching machines. The plant produces cartons and labels for the food trade, runs two shifts and keeps its own maintenance team. Operators are trained on one machine first and then on a second, so cover is always available.
About role
You set the machine for the job on the order sheet, load the reel or the stack, set the register and run a first sheet for approval. Through the run you check the cut and the fold against the sample every two hundred sheets, adjust the knives and the glue, and clear jams without waiting for maintenance. Counts, waste and downtime go on the shift log. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 on a weekly rotation with a Saturday only when the order book demands it.
