Production Line Operator

You take a station on the line and work to the cycle time the conveyor sets: fit the components in the order the work instruction gives, tighten to the setting on the screwdriver, and pass the piece on. Every piece gets a visual check against the sample board, and a reject goes in the red bin with its reason written on the tally. You count the finished pieces into the outer carton, close and label it, and record your output and your downtime on the shift sheet. The two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

Eight grades of school completed, no experience required

An operator who learns the changeover and the sample board moves to the setter or the quality station, and the plant fills its team leader posts from the lines. The training is paid.

A lit assembly hall at a steady temperature, with anti fatigue mats at every station, guards on the moving parts and a canteen next to the changing rooms. Gloves, ear protection and safety shoes are supplied.
