Construction Labourer

You move material to the working face, mix mortar and screed, hand block and reinforcement to the tradesmen and keep the scaffold and the walkways clear. On trench work you lay bedding sand, help place pipe and compact backfill with a plate. You clean tools and the mixer at the end of the day and stack what is left under cover. The site works 07:00-15:30 from Monday to Friday, Saturday is offered when a handover date is close and is paid separately.

Completed primary school, no trade certificate required

Physically fit, the work is outdoors in all weather

Able to mix mortar and to read a simple levelling mark

Careful with a grinder, a breaker and a plate compactor

Valid site safety induction, the training is paid on arrival

Basic Czech or English for site instructions and warning signs

Net salary from 1019 up to 1121 EUR per month

Contract for the length of the project, renewed in most cases

Labourers who show they can set out and level move to the formwork gang or to the bricklaying team within a season, and the firm pays for the scaffolding and the lifting platform tickets.

Open sites with scaffolding, edge protection and a heated container for breaks and drying clothes. Helmet, high visibility vest, gloves and safety boots are mandatory and issued by the employer.
