Formwork Carpenter

You build and strike wall and slab formwork on cast in place concrete structures. A normal day covers setting Doka or Peri panels to the marked line, plumbing and bracing them, fitting stop ends and column boxes, checking the diagonal and the level before the pour, then watching the panels during concreting. After stripping you clean, oil and stack the panels, and cut timber for the parts no system panel covers. You work from a formwork drawing in a crew of six under the site foreman, on site 07:00 to 15:30 Monday to Friday.

Trade school as a carpenter or five years on formwork

Reading a formwork drawing and a setting out plan

Doka or Peri panel systems, props and bracing

Confident with a circular saw, a nail gun and a level

Working at height with a harness after the site induction

Physically fit for outdoor work through the season

Basic English or Slovenian for site instructions

Net salary from 1376 up to 1515 EUR per month

Permanent contract after a three month trial

Daily site allowance and paid travel time between sites

Warm meal allowance (malica) on every working day

Annual holiday allowance (regres) paid in June

Company accommodation for workers arriving from abroad

Helmet, harness, work clothing and safety boots provided

Carpenters who set out their own sections become crew leaders on the next building, and the company pays for the scaffolding and crane signalling certificates.

Outdoor work on a fenced concrete frame site with a tower crane, a covered timber bench and heated site containers for the breaks. Helmet, harness, gloves and safety boots are mandatory and supplied.
