Production Line Operator

You work one station on a paced assembly line: taking mouldings off the conveyor, clipping in the contact plate and the seal, closing the housing on a pneumatic press and putting the finished piece on the test jig. Every tenth piece goes through a visual check for short shots, flash and scratches, and anything failing goes into the red box with a note. At the end of the run you count the boxes, write the number on the order card and clean your station. The line runs 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 with a weekly rotation, under a line leader who trains new people for the first two weeks.

Primary school finished, factory experience is not required

Steady hands and a good eye for surface faults

Willingness to stand at the line for a full shift

Counting and writing simple numbers on the order card

Rotating two shifts weekly, including some Saturdays

Basic English or Slovenian for safety instructions

Residence and work permit, which the employer helps arrange

Net salary from 1180 up to 1300 EUR per month

Permanent contract after six months on a fixed term

Two weeks of paid training at the line with a trainer

Warm meal allowance (malica) and paid transport in the Koper area

Annual holiday allowance (regres) paid in June

Room in a shared flat close to the plant, deducted at cost

Work clothing, safety shoes and gloves provided

People who learn all four stations become line trainers, and the plant fills its quality inspector places from the line rather than hiring outside.

A ventilated hall with anti fatigue mats at every station, height adjustable benches and a canteen next to the line. Safety shoes, hearing protection and gloves are supplied and worn on the floor.
