Maintenance Mechanic

You keep the filling, capping and cartoning machines running: planned lubrication and belt checks from the morning list, then fault calls from the line during the shift. Typical work is replacing bearings, seals, pneumatic cylinders and drive belts, aligning chains and conveyor rollers, and swapping parts when the line changes to another bottle size. You write every intervention into the maintenance log, order spares through the storeman, and hand the open faults to the next mechanic at the shift change. Electrical work stays with the plant electrician. You report to the maintenance leader.

Trade school as a machine fitter, mechanic or similar

At least three years of maintenance work inside a plant

Reading pneumatic and hydraulic schematics

Confident with bearings, seals, chains and drive belts

Own basic hand tools and a methodical fault search

Three shift work including one weekend a month

English at B1 level for manuals and supplier calls

Net salary from 1351 up to 1490 EUR per month

Permanent contract and full social insurance from day one

Night and weekend supplements paid on top of the base

The plant grows its maintenance leaders from the shift mechanics and pays for the national certificate in industrial maintenance at the technical school in Ljubljana.

A clean, well lit production hall held at about 20 degrees, with a separate workshop and a spare parts store next to the lines. Safety shoes, hearing protection and lockout tags are mandatory on every intervention.
