Steel Structure Welder
Metal Industry · Pula, Croatia
JB-560 · Basic (A2) · 6 openings
A steel fabrication shop in the Pula industrial zone welds hall structures, steel stairs and tank supports for shipyard and industrial customers. Six welder places on MIG/MAG and TIG, one shift only, and a permanent contract after the trial period.
About role
You weld plate and profile from 3 to 20 mm in MIG/MAG, and stainless in TIG when the drawing calls for it. The day starts with the fitting drawing and the weld plan: you tack the assembly on the jig, check the diagonals, then run the fillet and butt welds in the stated sequence to hold the distortion down. You grind and clean your own seams, mark the piece with your number, and present it to the shop inspector for visual and penetrant checks. Work is one shift, 06:00-14:00, with paid overtime when a structure has to ship.
