Production Line Operator

You run one packing station on a continuous line: you feed film and cartons, start the wrapping machine, watch the seal and the date print, and pull out any pack that is short weight or badly sealed. Every two hours you record the counter reading and the scrap on the line sheet, and you clean the station and the conveyor at the end of the shift. Small stoppages you clear yourself, a jam inside the wrapper you hand to the mechanic. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and you report to the line leader.

Finished primary school, a food or technical trade school is an advantage

At least six months in a factory, on a line or in packing

Steady hands and good attention over a full shift

Willing to rotate two shifts weekly and to work occasional Saturdays

Ability to record counter readings and scrap on a paper sheet

Basic English for machine menus and safety labels

Valid food handling health certificate, paid for by the employer

Net salary from 1043 up to 1150 EUR per month

Permanent contract from the first day, with a three month trial

Paid supplement for the afternoon shift and for Saturday work

Hot meal in the canteen during every shift

Company bus from Bjelovar, Daruvar and the villages between them

Two weeks of paid training on the wrapping machine

Work clothing, safety shoes and hearing protection provided

Operators who learn the format changeover move to line setter, and the plant fills its line leader places from the shop floor. The employer pays the forklift licence for anyone who wants the internal logistics route.

A heated hall kept at 20 degrees with marked walkways, a low noise level at the packing end and a separate canteen. Hairnet, work coat, safety shoes and hearing protection are mandatory and supplied.
