Maintenance Electrician

You keep presses, welding cells and conveyors running: fault finding on Siemens S7, replacing drives, sensors and valve blocks, and reading the circuit diagram before you touch anything. Planned work fills the quiet hours, from the annual test of the safety circuits to the thermal camera check on the switch cabinets. You record every repair in the maintenance system, order the spare part yourself and brief the shift leader on what is still open. Three shifts rotate weekly, with a paid on call week roughly every six weeks.

Trade certificate as an electrician, mechatronics technician or similar

At least five years of maintenance in a production plant

Fault finding on Siemens S7, frequency inverters and safety circuits

Reading circuit diagrams and hydraulic schematics

Willing to work three shifts and take the on call week

Functional German or English for diagrams, permits and suppliers

Certificate for work on live installations is an advantage

Net salary from 2585 up to 2840 EUR per month

Permanent contract to the metal industry collective agreement

Shift and on call supplements paid on top of the rate

30 days of holiday, holiday pay and a Christmas payment

Company pension with the employer paying two thirds

Paid courses on S7, drives and safety technology

Tools, measuring instruments and arc rated clothing provided

The plant is building a small automation group, and the two senior electricians who move into it keep their shift supplement for a year. The employer pays the part time Industriemeister course in electrical engineering in Ingolstadt.

A modern press shop with guarded cells, lockout points at every machine and a well equipped workshop with a parts store. Arc rated clothing, insulated tools, gloves, glasses and safety shoes are supplied.
