Food Production Worker

You work on a filling and sealing line at 8 to 10 degrees: feeding trays, filling by machine or by hand, checking the seal and the weight, applying date labels and packing cartons onto the pallet. Every hour you take a sample, note the weight and the temperature on the line sheet and set aside anything outside the limits. Cleaning the line at the end of the shift is part of the job and takes about 40 minutes. Shifts are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 in a weekly rotation, and the line leader trains you at each new station.

Able to stand and work at pace in a cool hall at 8 to 10 degrees

Careful hands for a seal check and a weight reading

Strict hygiene: hair net, hand washing, no jewellery

Willing to rotate the early and late shift weekly

Basic German or English for the line sheet and the briefing

Health certificate for food handling, arranged by the employer

Net salary from 1848 up to 2030 EUR per month

Permanent contract after six months, no agency in between

Workers who learn the settings on the sealing machine become machine operators within a year, and the plant fills its line leader posts from the lines. The company pays the forklift licence and the hygiene course.

A cool, bright hall with stainless steel lines, rubber floors that are washed every shift and a warm break room next door. Thermal jacket, hair net, gloves, non slip shoes and ear protection are supplied.
