Plastics Production Worker

You work on injection moulding and vacuum forming machines in a plant in the Jankomir industrial zone, in the west of the city. At the start of the shift you take the machine over from the previous operator, read the work order, check the granulate in the dryer and confirm the set temperatures, pressures and cycle time. With the setter you fit and change the mould. You cut off the sprues, trim and stack the parts, and compare them with the reference sample for flash, short shots and warping. Rejects are counted and entered per order. The plant runs three rotating shifts, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00, and you report to the shift leader.

Finished secondary school, a technical trade is an advantage

At least one year on plastics processing machines

Experience with fitting or changing moulds is an advantage

Reading a work order and recording output and rejects

Care around hot moulds and moving machine parts

Willingness to work three rotating shifts, nights included

Basic English for the machine panel and safety signs

Net salary from 1320 up to 1650 EUR per month

Permanent contract after the probation period

Night work paid with a 30 percent supplement

Christmas and Easter bonuses and a holiday allowance

Hot meal on every shift

Paid training on both machine types and on mould changes

Work clothing, safety shoes, gloves and hearing protection provided

After twelve months, workers who take over mould changes and machine start-up for a whole shift as setters move to 1650 EUR net per month. Shift leader posts are filled from the plant's own setters.

A closed production hall with machine noise, warm air around the moulding machines and extraction on the forming line. Hearing protection, heat-resistant gloves and safety shoes are worn through the shift and supplied by the employer.
