Delivery Driver

You load the truck against the route list before you leave the terminal, check the tail lift and the strapping, and drive between 15 and 30 stops a day inside the city. At each stop you sign off the delivery on the hand terminal, take back empties and pallets, and note any damage. The day starts at 05:30 at the terminal and normally ends there between 14:00 and 15:00. You report to the traffic planner and you keep your own vehicle clean and inspected.

Category B driving licence held for at least two years

Experience of city distribution or courier work

Confident with a tail lift, a pallet truck and load strapping

Able to plan a route and keep to a delivery window

Early starts from 05:30 on weekdays

Basic English and willingness to learn Swedish for customer contact

Category C licence with driver CPC is an advantage

Net salary from 2223 up to 2445 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the transport collective agreement

Unsocial hours supplement for the early start

Working clothes, safety shoes and gloves provided

Monthly public transport card for the commute to the terminal

Drivers who take the category C licence move to the heavier distribution runs and to night terminal work, both of which carry a higher rate under the same agreement.

A terminal with loading docks and a driver room, then a full day in traffic in all weather. High visibility jacket, safety shoes and gloves are supplied, and every vehicle carries a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.
