Painter and Decorator

You prime the walls and ceilings, fill joints and screw heads, sand the surface and check it with a lamp held at an angle before the first coat. Paint is mixed to the colour card and applied by roller, with brush work at the edges and around sockets. Floors, frames and glazing are masked before you start and the room is cleaned and the waste sorted at the end. The day runs 08:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday.

Trade certificate in finishing work or two years of practice

Able to fill, sand and paint a room to handover standard

Net salary from 1200 up to 1370 EUR per month

Decorators who finish a flat on their own without a snag list take a crew of two or three and the quality check before handover, which is paid at a higher rate. The contractor pays for the spray application course.

Finished flats in a closed and heated building, with lighting, power and a site lift already working. A dust mask during sanding, gloves, knee pads and safety shoes are mandatory and are supplied.
