A food production plant in the Paneriai industrial district of Vilnius is hiring line operators for its dosing and packing lines. The plant supplies bakery and dry goods to retail chains across the country. Three shifts rotate and the contract is open ended from the first day.
About role
You weigh and dose raw materials to the recipe card, feed them into the mixer and confirm each step in the batch record. On the packing end you change the film reel, set the date coder and pull a sample every half hour to check the weight and the seal. Anything outside tolerance is stopped, marked and passed to quality control. Three shifts rotate weekly, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00.
Who's a fit?
Completed primary school, food plant experience welcome but not required
Valid food handling health certificate, the medical check is paid
Careful weighing and accurate entries in the batch record
Able to stand through the shift and to lift sacks up to 25 kg
Willing to rotate morning, afternoon and night shifts
Basic Lithuanian or English for recipe cards and hygiene rules

Promotion terms
Operators who pass the line test take over the dosing station for a whole product group and later the changeover of the packing machine, both at a higher grade. Shift leaders come from the lines.
Work environment
A tiled production hall held at about eighteen degrees, with extraction over the mixers, a wash down area and a separate packing room. A hair net, coat, gloves and non slip shoes are mandatory and are supplied by the plant.
