Warehouse Operative

You book incoming pallets against the delivery note, count the cartons, record any shortage in the warehouse system and put the goods away in the marked location. Customer orders are picked into plastic totes, weighed and handed to the carrier by cut off time. Once a month you count a section of the racking and report the difference to the stock controller. The shift runs 08:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday with a paid break at noon.

Completed primary school, warehouse experience welcome but not required

Able to lift up to 20 kg and to stand through the shift

Accurate with numbers, codes and delivery notes

Basic computer use for the warehouse system, training is given

Forklift licence an advantage, the employer pays for the course

Basic Lithuanian or English for paperwork and for the carrier

Net salary from 1100 up to 1255 EUR per month

Open ended contract with social insurance from the first day

Paid forklift and safety training on site

Work clothing, gloves and safety shoes provided

Operatives who learn the stock system take over goods receipt for a whole product group, which carries a higher grade. The warehouse also trains its own forklift drivers rather than hiring them from outside.

A dry heated hall with narrow aisle racking, a goods receipt dock with two levellers and a separate packing bench area. Safety shoes, gloves and a high visibility vest are mandatory and are supplied.
