A distribution warehouse in the Kirtimai industrial zone on the southern edge of Vilnius is taking on warehouse workers for picking and dispatch. The site supplies grocery and household goods customers across Lithuania and runs two shifts. The contract is open ended and is signed on the first working day.
About role
You pick orders from pallet racking with a hand terminal, check the article number and the quantity against the picking list and build the pallet so that heavy cartons sit at the bottom. Finished pallets are wrapped, labelled and moved to the dispatch lane by gate number. Damaged goods go on a separate pallet and are reported to the shift leader before loading begins. Two shifts rotate weekly, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, and the afternoon shift carries a supplement paid on top of the basic rate.
Who's a fit?
Completed primary school, no trade certificate required
Able to handle cartons up to 15 kg through a full shift
Careful counting and accurate reading of article numbers
Willing to rotate the morning and the afternoon shift
Forklift licence an advantage, the course is paid if you do not hold one
Basic Lithuanian or English for the shift handover and the safety signs

Promotion terms
Pickers who take the forklift licence move to the reach truck and to stock replenishment after about a year. The shift leader post on each of the two shifts is filled from inside the warehouse.
Work environment
A heated hall with marked pedestrian lanes, pallet racking to six metres and a separate charging room for the trucks. A high visibility vest, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and are supplied by the employer.
