Kitchen Help

You take in the morning delivery, check it against the order and the temperature on the chilled goods, and put it away by date. Through the service you peel, wash and cut vegetables to the size the chef asks for, keep the pots moving through the wash up and return clean pans to the line. After service the kitchen is broken down, the surfaces and the floor are cleaned and the cleaning log is signed. Shifts are 07:00-15:00 or 14:00-22:00, five days a week, with weekend days shared across the team.

No qualification needed, a valid health book is required

Able to stand and move through an eight hour service

Works clean and keeps raw and cooked separated

Follows the chef's cutting sizes and portion instructions

Willing to work weekend days in rotation with the team

Basic English for the order sheets and the allergen list

Net salary from 776 up to 854 EUR per month

Permanent contract with full social and health cover from the first day

A share of the monthly service charge paid with the wage

Rota published a fortnight ahead, two days off together

Chef whites, apron, non slip shoes and gloves provided

Kitchen help who learn the cold section move to commis chef within a year, and the kitchen pays for the cook's vocational course at a Budapest training centre.

A busy restaurant kitchen with a separate wash up area, extraction over the line and washable floors that stay wet through service. Non slip shoes, an apron and cut resistant gloves for prep are supplied.
