Join the kitchen of a prestigious hotel in Bled - a destination considered a symbol of Slovenian tourism. We are looking for a cook who masters Slovenian and international cuisine with a large share of international guests.
About role
Preparing a la carte menus and group menus for hotel guests, including buffet-style breakfasts. Participating in banquet and event preparations targeting 80-150 guests. Following HACCP principles and maintaining kitchen documentation. Mise en place preparation and coordination with the line kitchen - cold, hot, pastry. Quality control of incoming ingredients, seasonal menu changes and preparation of local Slovenian specialities (kremšnita, štruklji, jota).
Who's a fit?
NPK cook or secondary hospitality education
At least 2 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen
Functional English for communication with foreign guests
Knowledge of HACCP standards
Skill with modern kitchen technology (sous-vide, induction, Rational ovens)
Readiness to work shifts, including weekends
Sense for aesthetic plating
