Waiter

You take a section of tables, greet the guests, take the order on the handheld terminal and carry the food and the drinks from the pass and from the bar. Between orders you clear and reset the tables, keep the terrace tidy and check the stock of glasses and cutlery. You close your own tab at the end of the shift and hand the takings to the shift leader against a slip. The season runs two shifts, 10:00 to 18:00 and 16:00 to 24:00.

Secondary school finished, catering school is an advantage

At least one season of waiting or bar work

English at B1 for taking orders and explaining the menu

Able to carry a loaded tray on sand and on wooden decking

Quick with a handheld terminal and accurate with the bill

Available for the whole season, from June to mid September

Clean and presentable, since the section is in full view

Tips are kept by the shift and are divided by the staff themselves

A waiter who finishes the season is taken on again the next year at the higher rate, and the bar posts and the shift leader post are filled from the returning staff.
