Forklift Driver

You drive a counterbalance truck of up to 3,5 tonnes and a reach truck in the racking. You strip containers pallet by pallet, put the goods away in the slot the system gives you and stuff outbound containers to the loading plan so the weight sits over the axles. You check the truck before each shift with the daily checklist, change the battery or the gas bottle and report a fault at once. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

Valid forklift licence recognised in Germany, or willingness to convert it

At least two years on a counterbalance truck, reach truck is an advantage

Able to judge load weight and to stack to six metres

Careful with the daily check and with damage reporting

Willing to rotate two shifts week by week

Basic English for the loading plan and the terminal system

Net salary from 1980 up to 2178 EUR per month

Permanent contract with full social insurance from day one

Drivers who handle the reach truck cleanly are trained on the container handler in the yard, a licence the terminal pays for and a grade that is paid higher.

A terminal hall with twelve container berths, racking to six metres, marked traffic lanes and a separate charging room for batteries. Safety shoes, vest, gloves and helmet are mandatory and supplied.
