A food packing plant in the Vara de Quart industrial zone in Valencia is taking on line operatives for its filling and labelling lines. Output goes to Spanish supermarkets and to export customers in France and Italy. Permanent contract after a trial period.
About role
You feed empty containers to the filler, watch the fill level and the seal, and take a sample every half hour for the weight and torque check recorded on the line sheet. You change the label reel and the date coder at each format change, clear minor jams at the conveyor and call maintenance for anything behind a guard. At the end of the shift you clean the line to the written plan and sign the cleaning record. Three shifts rotate weekly: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00.
Who's a fit?
Compulsory secondary education, no previous factory experience needed
Food handler certificate, or willingness to take the course in the first week
Steady hands and attention for a line running at a fixed cadence
Able to stand for a full shift and to lift crates up to 15 kg
Willing to rotate three shifts including nights
Basic English for machine screens and safety labels
Residence permit valid for work in Spain
Benefits
Net salary from 1450 up to 1595 EUR per month
Pay in fourteen instalments, the two extra payments already inside the monthly figure quoted

Promotion terms
Operatives who learn the format change without help are trained as line leaders, a post that covers two lines and carries the higher grade of the food industry agreement.
Work environment
A food grade hall at eighteen degrees with washable floors, guarded conveyors and hearing protection at the filler, where noise reaches eighty five decibels. Uniform, hairnet and safety shoes are worn from the changing room onwards.
