Furniture Carpenter

You take the cutting list, set the beam saw, cut the panels to size and run them through the edge bander. Holes for hinges, shelf pins and connectors are drilled on the boring machine from the hardware sheet. You assemble the carcass, hang the doors, adjust the hinges and drawer runners until the gaps are even, and check every unit against the drawing before it is wrapped. Fitting on site is part of the job about one day a week.

Technical school certificate in woodwork or three years in a furniture shop

A carpenter who learns the panel software and prepares his own cutting lists moves to the work preparation bench, which pays an allowance. The workshop chooses its fitting team leaders from the bench carpenters.

A dry workshop with extraction at every machine, a separate spray booth and benches at working height. A dust mask, ear protection, gloves and safety shoes are worn on the machine side and are supplied by the employer.
