A finishing contractor working on apartments and small hotels in Becici near Budva is hiring painters for interior and facade work. The season runs from spring to late autumn with an extension into winter for interior work. Accommodation near the site is arranged by the employer.
About role
You prepare the surface first: fill, sand, dust off and mask the edges, then prime and apply two coats by roller, brush or spray as the specification says. On facades you work from scaffolding, keep a wet edge across a whole elevation and stop at a corner rather than in the middle of a wall. You mix and tint to the colour card, note the batch on the job sheet and keep the tools clean so a shade does not carry over. Damage to glass, tiles or fittings is your own to prevent with masking. Work runs 07:00-15:30 Monday to Friday.
Who's a fit?
Trade school for painters or equal practice on site
At least two years on interior and facade painting
Surface preparation, filling and sanding to a smooth finish
Mixing and tinting to a colour card without a visible joint
Safe work at height on scaffolding
Basic English for product labels and mixing instructions
Benefits
Net salary from 800 up to 900 EUR per month
Accommodation near the site arranged and paid by the employer
Registered contract with social and health insurance from day one
Hot meal on site every working day
Winter interior work offered to anyone who wants to stay
Spray equipment, rollers and scaffolding supplied by the employer
Mask, gloves, overalls and safety shoes provided
Promotion terms
Painters who deliver a facade without a visible joint take their own two man crew the next season, and the contractor pays for the spray system training with the paint supplier.
Work environment
Apartment interiors and scaffolded facades close to the sea, so salt air and strong sun shorten the drying window. A mask, gloves, overalls and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
