A contractor building apartment blocks in Rozino above Budva is hiring formwork carpenters for slabs, walls and columns. The contract covers the building season with an extension for anyone who wants to stay. Accommodation near the site is arranged by the employer.
About role
You set out and erect wall and slab formwork from system panels, level the props to the marked height, tie the wall panels with the correct number of form ties and check the line with a laser before the pour. During the pour you watch the panels and the props and call the site engineer at the first sign of movement. After the concrete has cured you strike the formwork in the agreed order, clean and oil the panels and stack them for the next lift. Work runs 07:00-15:30 Monday to Friday, with a paid half day on Saturday in the pour weeks.
Who's a fit?
Trade school for carpenters or equal practice with system formwork
At least two years on slab and wall formwork
Reading a formwork plan and a prop layout
Confident with a level, a laser and a spanner set
Safe work at height and on edge protection
Basic English for panel markings and safety signs

Promotion terms
Carpenters who set out a slab on their own and hand it over clean lead a formwork gang the following season, and the contractor pays for the system supplier's training course.
Work environment
An open site above the town with system scaffolding, edge protection on every slab and a crane for the panels. A helmet, a harness, gloves and safety boots are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
