A building contractor working on apartment blocks in the Lazi area of Budva is taking on labourers for the shell and finishing stages. The contract runs for the building season with an extension for anyone who wants to stay on. Accommodation near the site is arranged by the employer.
About role
You mix and carry mortar and concrete, feed the bricklayers and the carpenters, strip and clean formwork panels, and keep the working levels tidy and the access routes clear. You unload delivery trucks by hand or with the hoist, stack material where the foreman marks it, and cut reinforcement bar to the bending schedule. Waste is separated at the skip and the site is swept at the end of every day. Work runs 07:00-15:30 Monday to Friday with a paid half day on Saturday during the pour weeks.
Who's a fit?
Primary school finished, site practice is welcome but not required
Physically able to carry material through a full day outdoors
Safe work at height on scaffolding after the site induction
Willing to work a paid half Saturday in the pour weeks
Basic English for the safety signs and the tool markings
Ready to start within two weeks of the offer

Promotion terms
Labourers who stay through a full season and learn the formwork are taken on as carpenter's mates the following spring, which is how most of the site carpenters here started.
Work environment
An open site on the hillside above Budva, so heat in summer and wind off the sea in autumn are part of the job. A helmet, gloves, a high visibility vest and safety boots are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
