Production Operator

You feed empty containers to the filler, watch the fill level and the seal, take a sample every hour and set aside anything that fails the visual check. At the end of the line you stack the cartons on the pallet in the pattern on the sheet, apply the batch label and note the counter reading at every changeover. When the line stops you clear the jam, call the setter if the fault is on the machine, and record the downtime in the shift book. The shifts are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

Primary school finished, no previous factory practice required

Operators who learn the changeover and the sampling routine move to machine setter within two years, and the plant pays for the internal setter course.

A bright hall with a paced line, guards on every moving part and an emergency stop within reach at each station. Ear protection, gloves, a hair net and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
