A hotel in the Bacvice district of Split is taking on room attendants for the season from April to October. The house has a hundred and twenty rooms and works to a written cleaning standard and a daily room list. The contract is seasonal.
About role
You take the room list at the start of the shift and work through it: strip and make the beds, clean the bathroom, wipe the surfaces, restock the minibar and the amenities and vacuum the room. You report a fault, a missing item or damage to the housekeeper on the same sheet. Departure rooms come first, stay rooms after. A room is checked by the housekeeper before it is released for sale. The shift is 07:00-15:00, six days a week in the high season, with the day off set in the weekly plan.
Who's a fit?
Finished primary school, hotel experience is an advantage
Physical fitness for a full standing shift with bending and lifting
Careful and even work to a written cleaning standard
Handling guest property and lost items by the house rules
Willingness to work weekends and public holidays in the season
Basic English for short guest contact in the corridor

Promotion terms
Room attendants who finish a full season are invited back the next year on a longer contract, and the most reliable are trained as floor supervisors who check the rooms and hand out the daily list.
Work environment
Guest floors and a service corridor, air conditioned rooms and a warm laundry area. The work is physical and paced by the departure list. Gloves and non slip shoes are worn, and the chemicals come premixed.
