Industrial Painter

You mask and prepare welded steel frames, hang them on the conveyor, and spray primer and top coat in a closed booth with a gravity fed gun. Between coats you measure film thickness with a wet film comb, look for runs and dry spray under the lamp, and touch up what the line missed. You mix paint to the ratio on the technical sheet, clean the gun and the filters at the end of the shift, and write every batch number into the coating log. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and you report to the coating foreman.

Finished trade school in metalwork, painting or a related field

At least one year of spray painting in a workshop or a plant

Steady hand with a gravity fed gun and knowledge of paint ratios

Able to read a technical coating sheet and a film thickness gauge

Willing to rotate two shifts weekly, Saturdays are voluntary and paid

Basic English for the safety labels on paint and thinner drums

Net salary from 596 up to 656 EUR per month

Painters who learn booth setup and paint mixing move to line setter within two years, and the plant fills the coating foreman post from inside. The employer pays the yearly refresher on solvent handling.

The coating hall is held at a steady temperature, both booths have their own extraction, and the walkways between the hanging lines are marked. A fresh air mask, chemical gloves, overalls and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied.
