Forklift Driver

You take the reels off the incoming truck with a clamp attachment, weigh them, and feed the presses so no machine waits for stock. Finished pallets are wrapped, labelled and set into the racking by location number, and you scan every move into the warehouse system. Twice a shift you check the battery water, the forks and the hydraulic hoses, and you note any damage in the machine log. Shifts are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and you report to the warehouse lead.

Valid forklift licence for counterbalance trucks

At least one year of driving in a plant or a warehouse

Drivers who add the reach truck licence take over the high racking and the goods receipt scanner, and the plant fills its warehouse lead seats from the shift floor.

A covered warehouse with a concrete floor, marked pedestrian lanes and a heated despatch bay. High visibility vest, safety shoes and helmet are mandatory across the hall and issued by the employer.
