Kitchen Porter

You run the dishwashing station, sort and rack crockery, glass and pans, feed the tunnel washer and hand scrub the heavy pots. You keep the wash area dry and safe, change the water and the chemicals on schedule, and carry clean stock back to the kitchen and the banqueting store. At the end of service you strip and clean the machine and mop the floor. Shifts are 10:00 to 18:30 or 15:00 to 23:30 and you report to the kitchen supervisor.

Completed compulsory schooling, no previous kitchen work required

Reliable timekeeping, since service cannot start without clean stock

Basic English for the chemical labels and the daily plan

Net salary from 1884 up to 2072 EUR per month

Fixed term contract under the Grona Riksavtalet with a written end date

Porters who show they can keep a clean and orderly station are trained as kitchen assistants on the cold section, which is the usual first step into the trade in Sweden.

A warm and humid wash room with a tunnel washer, steam extraction and drainage channels in the floor. Waterproof apron, gloves and non slip shoes are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
