Forklift Driver

You unload containers and curtain siders with a counterbalance truck, move pallets to the marked storage bays and feed the picking aisles from the reserve racking. Before each shift you run the daily check on the truck, record the hours and report a fault or a damaged fork to the maintenance desk. Loading is confirmed against the consignment note with the driver present. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and Saturday work is planned in advance and paid at the higher rate.

Valid forklift operator licence for a counterbalance truck

At least one year on a truck in a warehouse or a terminal

Reading a consignment note and a pallet label without help

Careful manoeuvring in narrow aisles and near pedestrians

Willing to rotate the morning and the afternoon shift

Basic Latvian, Russian or English for handover and safety signs

Net salary from 1007 up to 1108 EUR per month

Permanent contract with full state insurance from the first day

Drivers who add the reach truck and the order picker to their licence take the higher rate band within a year. Bay supervisor posts at the terminal are filled from the driver pool.

A covered terminal with marked truck routes, separate pedestrian walkways and a ventilated charging room. Ear protection, gloves, safety shoes and a high visibility vest are mandatory and issued by the employer.
