Kitchen Assistant

You run the dishwasher, scrape and rack the plates, keep the pot wash clear and return clean ware to the pass. Between services you peel and cut vegetables to the prep list, portion salads and keep the cold store tidy and dated. At the end of the shift you clean the extraction filters, mop the floor and take the waste out sorted. The shift is 10:00-19:00 with two days off a week.

No formal schooling required, kitchen experience an advantage

Valid food handling health certificate, the medical check is paid

Able to stand through the shift and to lift crates up to 15 kg

Steady pace during the lunch service and tidy work after it

Willing to work weekends on a rota

Basic Lithuanian or English for the prep list and hygiene rules

Net salary from 950 up to 1085 EUR per month

Open ended contract with social insurance from the first day

Assistants who learn the prep list move to the cold station and then to the hot line, both paid at a higher rate. The operator pays for the cook course at a Kaunas vocational school for staff who stay a year.

A tiled kitchen with a pass through dishwasher, extraction over the range, a walk in chiller and a separate waste room. An apron, gloves, a hair net and non slip shoes are mandatory and are supplied.
